The Bandits got off to a fast start. With the first two batters reaching base, Jon Klingenberg hit a 3 run homer to give them the early lead. The Heat answered back in the second with a Nate Brown 3 run shot. It was back and forth after that with a lot of good hits and sharp defense on both sides. Rob Flood tied the game in the 5th with a solo shot to left field.
The game went to extra innings. In the top of the 8th, with the international tie break in effect, Josh Baer singled to give the Heat the lead. In the bottom half Ryan Husk lead off with a triple for the Bandits tying the game with none out. The next batter, Tyson Zehr, hit a sacrifice fly to secure the win for the Bandits.
