Was an exciting game for sure. With both teams sharing the through the first five innings the heat took a 3 run lead into the 7th. In the top of the 7th there was a lead off single followed by a 2 run HR by Dan Gyenes that bounced off the top of the fence and went out. The next batter Jon Atkinson hit a solo HR to go back to back and tie the game. The eagles would then push another couple runs across to go up late In the game. In the bottom half of the inning the heat would play a little small ball and the eagles less than stellar defense and allow the heat to tie the game only leaving the bases loaded. After the heat had a few runners on in the 8th the eagles would get out of it. In the 9th Nate Awde would hit a solo HR to take the lead again. And Tim Neil would enter the game and close it out with a perfect 9th.
