Both teams hit the ball hard in this game but the Vics were unable to plate enough runs to upend the Eagles in their home Park. Innerkip took a 2-0 lead in the second inning with a homer by Awde and a triple off starter Brad Thomson. Eagles' hurler Tim Neill held the Vics off the board until the fifth when Graham Scott blasted a long bomb to center to tie the game. Bob Gillow then scored on a sac fly by Mitchell to take a one run lead. Innerkip tied it up again in the fifth when a fly ball to potentially end the inning escaped the grip of the outfielder. The Eagles scored the go-ahead run in 6 on two singles and an infield error. Ayr put two runners on in the 7th but was unable to plate the tying run.
