After coming fresh off their 9 game - 3rd place finish at the ISC II tounament in Moline, Illionois.  The Crush came to the diamond tired, yet ready for game 5 of this see-saw battle with the Hickson Heat

Hickson Heat capitalized on a pair of walks and a pair of Sweaburg errors in the top of the 1st inning, but could only push one run across before Martin settled in and K'd the 2nd and 3rd outs leaving the bases loaded.

Sweaburg responded with 3 of their own in the bottom half of the 1st- 2 off the bat of Darryl Wharram with a 2-run Homerun.

The Heat came out stron in the 2nd and strung 3 hits in a row to cash Trevor Smith to cut into the 2 run lead.

In the bottom half of the 2nd, the Crush answered right back with a lead off solo homerun by Rory Miller increasing the lead to 4-2

Adam Martin of the Crush shut the Heat down for the remainder of the game, collecting a total of 8 K's

Sweaburg, pushed a run across in the 4th, and 5 in the 6th which was capped off by a walk-off grandslam by Darryl Wharram to end the ball game.

The Crush tip their hats to the Hickson Heat Club in a hard fought 1st round series.
