Excellent game on this chilly September night. Mike Pullin for Kelseys vs Rory Miller of the Crush. Both pitchers were able to battle through scoring opportunities to keep the game scoreless through 7 innings.
In the top of the 8th Steve Running was the lead off batter and he smashed a Miller offering deep to center field to give Kelseys a 1-0 lead. Miller was able to regroup and retire 3 straight after surrendering the homerun.
In the bottom of the 8th Steve Johnson led off with a single, followed by a Darryl Wharram single. With runners on 1st and 2nd Miller smacks one to the gap in left field to score both Johnson and Wharram to secure the 2-1 victory.
