Norwich got the scoring started in the top of the second inning with Derek Smart hitting a double and JJ Harden knocking him home with a single for the tigers to go up 1-0. In the bottom of the second Pt. Burwell answered with two runs of their own after Bryan Roloson hit one by the Norwich first baseman on a crazy hop to cash two. In the bottom of 3 the Lakers took it to the Tigers first with a Brent Roloson 2 run homerun and Tommy Southwick scoring on a Scotty Lovell walk. Derek Lovell and Bryan Roloson also scored but the Norwich score sheet looks terrible and I don't know how. In the 5th inning with the Tigers down 8-1 Bryan Phillips drew a walk and a Randy Zylstra single set Jeremy Tribe up for a 2 run single to push the mercy. In the bottom half the unremitting Lakers took the Tigers by the throat and cashed Mike Vereecken and Sean Lovell to tie the series at a game a piece.
